Came in to Service Street during what like was an emergency. My car was not working and I was 300 miles from home. These guys all tried to calm me down and told me that would look into it, and made sure I was comfortable while I waited. After what seemed like an eternity (I assure you it was not) they told be the bad news - that it looked like my transmission was shot. This was not a repair they were prepared to do in an emergency situation, but they made sure I understood why they diagnosed it that way and made sure that I could get my car home or knew it could stay there until I could. I was on my phone talking to people I knew with mechanical backgrounds and they were telling me things to have SS check. The manager insisted that he could not “take my money” for some tests he knew were not going to remedy or even change the status of my car. I find that to be a stand up business! A 50+ year old woman alone in the city and this business did nothing but make be feel better. I want especially thank Chris as he was the first calming person that I spoke to and continued to be kind and supportive. Thank you Service Street, I appreciate what you did and especially what you didn’t do.
