I was passing through town and had some problems with my truck. When I called Del helped me on the phone and was friendly enough so I gave them my service. They sounded knowledgeable and got me in quickly and I do have to admit they fixed A problem on my truck and these are the reasons I didn’t give them just 1 star. However they charged me $246 for a mass airflow sensor, which should cost $80-120 for the OEM part. In all they charged me $600 to replace it and clean out my air box. I felt quite ripped off even then but when I got back on the road my truck died again just across the state line then a few more times before I could make it home. I still wanted to give them a chance because, like I said they treated me well. I called Del back just now and explained that they didn’t fix the problem. This is where the customer service fell apart. He flat out refused to admit any fault or refund even the diagnostic fee. This, I feel, is how you know an honest mechanic from a dishonest one. I have met many mechanics who love to work with you if they don’t fix the problem. Service Street proved to me that they will rip you off for their services and will not admit fault when they make a mistake. I wasted $600 on they’re service and now still have to find someone who can fix it. In summary despite their confidence inspiring sales men, they will charge you an arm and a leg for very little work and you can’t be confident that they are actually going to fix the problem.
